Technical Meeting Highlights

Plan to come early this year to participate in our first-ever Friday Night event! All registered attendees are invited to join ASBA at the new US Tennis Association’s National Campus in nearby Lake Nona (less than 15 minutes from the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort). USTA is hosting ASBA for a reception and optional tours of its sprawling 64-acre, 100-court campus. Walk around or tour this spectacular home to tennis and learn more about this facility’s commitment to player development in the US. The beautiful setting will be a great kick-off to ASBA’s Technical Meeting and an opportunity to catch up with friends and peers before the busy start of the Technical Meeting on Saturday. Roundtrip bus transportation provided by ASBA from the Rosen Shingle Creek.

Keynote Speaker, Chip Eichelberger

The ability to ‘Get Switched On’ and be at your best consistently is essential to compete and excel in today's marketplace. This high-energy, interactive session challenges everyone to acknowledge the difference between good and GREAT. This is an interactive experience, not a speech!

Chip will challenge you to take a hard look at your attitude and current results. You will reevaluate your long term vision, game plan, mindset and what is really important. This program will get you plugged back in and switched on! How can you be a catalyst and bring your “A Game” consistently to perform at your best? When it is “show time” you need to be “show ready.”

Coming to the Technical Meeting to improve your skills, broaden your knowledge and make new contacts? It all starts here at The Opening Reception. This will be your first look at ASBA’s trade show, with the newest products and services in the industry, plus the classic and dependable standards you’ve come to know and trust over the years. What’s on the market for the coming construction season? What will help you work smarter, not harder? What can really wow your customers? It’s all right here on the show floor.

Come in for breakfast and coffee. Catch up with your colleagues and join us for introductions. Help us recognize those who are attending the meeting for the first time as well as our 2019 award winners. You’ll learn what’s available to you and what to look forward to. Best of all, you’ll know you’re welcome at what promises to be one of our best meetings yet.

What was accomplished this year and how? What is on the agenda for next year? Attend the Association’s Annual Business Meeting during lunch on Monday, December 9. You’ll meet the Board of Directors and learn what projects have been given priority status. The status of the association, a financial report and information on the latest plans and projects will be presented. If you always wondered where your dues went, and how the association operates, here’s your chance.

The Association has various divisions, serving the interests of its member companies, whose work involves the Tennis, Tracks, Fields, Courts & Recreation, Suppliers and Design Professional communities. Each division is responsible for specific projects, publications, tasks and more. This is the meeting where you can learn about the projects, issues and goals of your division. Find out how you can get involved. It’s a great opportunity to share your ideas and suggestions with your board representatives, to participate in developing and revising guidelines and position papers, to provide input to construction manuals and to express your views on important questions coming before the association.
